Naayak Review

Written By TollywoodRoundUP on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 | 8:30:00 AM

Director : V.V. Vinayak
Producer : D .V. V Danayya
Music Director : Thaman
Starring : Ram Charan, Kajal Agarwal, Amala Paul

Story : Charan akka Cherry (Ram Charan) is a happy go lucky guy who falls for Madhu(Kajal Aggarwal) at the first sight in an interesting situation. Mean while, a series of killings will rock Hyderabad and the CBI starts suspecting Cherry. When police traps Cherry at Haridwar, here comes a twist to the tale. What is it? What made CBI to leave Cherry forms the rest of the story.

Analysis : The first half of 'Nayak' is laced with ample comedy tracks and  wonderful dance movements. Precisely, it is a gripping first half with hilarious episodes between Ram Charan, Brahmanandam. MS Narayana and Jaya Prakash Reddy too joins the bandwagon and makes it more humorous. The movie goes at a fast pace and the interval bang gets interesting with a fantastic twist which will make the fans of Ram Charan frenzy.

The second half is the soul of the film and the flash back episode has been shot very well. The high voltage action episodes backed by Ram Charan's power packed histrionics and dialogue delivery reminds you of Chiranjeevi and is a delight for the audience. However, the tempo goes a bit down and catches the pace when Posani enters the scene. Apparently, Posani has taken the center stage and provides comic relief everywhere he appears in this hour. The scene where Charan's men bashes the goons and offers them a chocolate is the highlight of the second half. All the songs are visually good onscreen and precisely, the three songs, Subhaleka Rasukunna, Yevvaramante, Hey Nayak that comes in the second half deserves special mention.

Overall, 'Nayak' is perfect film laced with comedy, power packed action, amazing dance movements and beautifully shot songs. It has all the ingredients of a commercial movie and is likely to set box office on fire.

TollywoodRounUp Perspective : Director VV Vinayak who is capable of delivering potential mass entertainers is back in the league with 'Nayak'. He has taken utmost care on the script and successfully used Ram Charan's mass image to the hilt. Though the story is old, the narration has made it look fresh and gripping. Nayak is going to be a surprise package for the audience and a perfect entertainer for this pongal. Emotions abound the script and touches the heart in couple of places like the human mafia and in the flash back. Though, there is  lot of action in the second half it wont necessarily be an obstacle for the audience to enjoy it. With Nayak, Ram Charan is going to give stiff competition to Stylish Star Allu Arjun, the best dancer of Tollywood, in dances. This pongal starts with a bang in the form of 'Nayak' and has all the chances to become a winner at box office.

Performances : Ram Charan has acted with ease and carried the movie on his shoulders. He improved a lot in comedy department and his dialogue delivery is commendable. His dances are amazing and we get to see the rock star Ram Charan in this film. Kajal as usual looks gorgeous and has a very limited role to play. Amala Paul is plump and scorches the screen in couple of songs with Ram Charan. Her performance is OK. Brahmanandam steals the show with his innocent expressions and wonderful comic timing. His steps for 'Enduko Emo' song are hilarious. Posani is impressive. Jaya Prakash Reddy, MS Narayana have played their part well and provides few smiles. Rajeev Kanakala, Pradeep Rawat, Dev Gill are decent. Others are OK.

Technicalities : Cinematography of Chota K Naidu is excellent and his efforts are visible onscreen especially in songs. Editing by Gautam Raju is good. Choreography is amazing. Dialogues by Akula Siva are catchy and hilarious. Music and background score of Thaman is an asset to the film.

Positives : Ram Charan's performance & dances
Comedy in the first half
Songs

Negatives : Heavy dosage of action

Final Word : 'Nayak' is a must watch 'Mega' entertainer blended with 'Power' packed action episodes and brilliant performance of Ram Charan.

Sarocharu Review

Written By Unknown on Sunday, December 23, 2012 | 2:32:00 PM

  • Film : Sarocharu
  • Producer : Priyanka Dutt
  • Director : Parasuram
  • Star Cast : Ravi Teja,Kajal Agarwal,Richa Gangopadhyay...
  • Music Director : Devi Sri Prasad
  • Rating :
    fullfullfullfullfull2.25

    Story

The story revolves between Karthik (Ravi Teja) and Sandhya (Richa Gangopadhyaya) basically and the way latter falls in love with the former. In the form of twist comes a fake character Vasudha (Richa Gangopadhyaya). Why Karthik makes use of character Vasudha, how Sandhya reacts and what happens next will form the remaining part of the story.

    Analysis :

    Sarocharu
The songs were good to listen as they were to see. The cinematography was outstanding. The main draw back of the movie is the screenplay. It looked real routine. A routine flash back (although it was a fake one), some common fights, typical dialogues make Sarocharu a routine movie. Some comedy elements in the movie will entertain the audience. There was basically no logic in the movie. Viewers-at one point of time-will feel why this unwanted twist in the movie only to tag the movie a different one. But, it contained all routine elements.

    Performance :

    Sarocharu
Ravi Teja is the life and soul of the movie. His performance was outstanding. Kajal Agarwal was okay. There was no change in her acting. She could have performed better. Richa Gangopadhyaya was not up to the mark.
Final Word: Good time pass movie.

Music: Mychael Danna
Editing: Tim Squyres

Cinematography: Claudio Miranda

PLOT:

Film opens with a conversation between Irfankhan (older pi) and his friend who was a foreigner, Irfan khan explains about his childhood how the name pi was attained from his friends, about his parents and the zoo which was developed by his father in Pondicherry. From the early stages of his life pi kept interest in exploring the issues of spirituality and practicality. Relating the religions Pi explained his curiosity and eventual acceptance of all genres of gods and their significance.

Adel Husain and Tabu conducted their performance as parents of Pi Patel who are the zookeepers in Pondicherry. Eventually, Ail Husain decides to sell their zoo over a land dispute with the government, and sell the animals to a zoo in Canada which makes the better occupation than India, but Pi Patel in grief to leave Indian country steps up into the ship. In the voyage a freak storm sinks the ship makes to loss his entire family and he escapes on a lifeboat with a small band of animal survivors including the fearsome tiger named “Richard Parker”. So how did Pi Patel manage to survive with wild animals in the long voyage of 227 days was the rest of the story.

ANALYSIS:

Irfan khan walked through his character as older PI in bringing out his emotions and intensity while retrieving the childhood scenes as a part of narration. The visual effects done by Kavan Ahalpara are eye-popping. The 3D imagery is consistently stunning. The storytelling is outstanding. Especially narration is along with the basic plot without any feeling of ambiguity to the audience. Camerawork by Claudio Miranda needs special applauds in showing the scenes of storm effects like thunders, lightening and sinking of ships. Good work did by Mychael Danna when mentioning about the stuff of music.

But, most importantly, at the heart of Ang Lee’s Life of Pi, as in author Yann Martel’s is a riveting odyssey of human fortitude and faith that never fails to grip. It is entertaining and uplifting. First half was pretty good to watch, AngLee little bit failed in catching the same pace in second half although making of new frames in 2nd half is extraordinary.

VERDICT:

So friends those who never pictured it go and grab your tickets, it’s a worth watch film with stunning visuals and 3D effects. It is a must In terms of both the scale of its ambition and the exquisite perfection of its execution, Life of Pi is pure magic.

Talaash Review: A pshycological thriller

Written By Unknown on Friday, November 30, 2012 | 4:44:00 PM

Director Reema Kagti's second directorial venture Talaash, starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee in leads, has hit the screens today (November 30) and received an overwhelming response at the Box Office all over the world. Aamir khan on cloud nine with his IndustryHit flick 3Idiots in 2009.So his fans and entire industry of Bollywood waited for his next project from three years. His fans were desperately waiting for him to rock the screens as Talaash released in 2500 theaters along with Pakisthan. So let us see whether Talaash blasted the Jackpot or not.

STORY:

When talking to the initiation of the movie it starts with beautiful BGM exposing the slum areas and busy Mumbai roads with rolling titles. One night Superstar Arman khan‘s car meet with accident which was witnessed by three strangers beside the footpath. Aamir khan presented himself as investigating officer named Surjan singh Sekhawath. Aamir khan sinks deeper into the investigation for this case that he suscepted many seedy people and sex worker Kareena Kapoor(Rosy) too. Rani Mukerji shared the screen presence with Aamir khan wife as Roshini.  Film accord totally with the answer for the investigation, whether Aamir khan successfully closed the investigation or not is the rest of the story, meanwhile audience get few shocks at the end of movie in preclimax.

Analysis:

In Talaash, Kagti weaves a complex web, and she colours it with the mood and the atmosphere she and her collaborators created the successkit. The crisp cinematography by K.U Mohanan and the haunting background score by Ram Sampath keep us on the edge. Aamir Khan is brilliant in the film, the intensity in his acting really at peaks  but he does complete justice to his role. To his credit, he plays the multi-layered character of a grief-struck father and an honest cop with complete ease. RaniMukerji gave some decent performance with natural looks as the mother under depression due to the death of his loving son unfortunately. KareenaKapoor looks gorgeous, the key character in the movie. Preclimax twist is the bombshell for the audience generates   goosebumps.
On the flip side, Talaash going seriously from the start of the movie by that audience can feel bore in few frames. ReemaKagti narration was superb in maintaining the suspense till the end of the movie, make us to each and every artist in the movie is the answer behind the accident. Reema ended the film with super twist on sweetnote.

Verdict:  On the whole, Talaash is an outstanding film which is a psychological thriller that keeps you guessing till the end, Successfully whets the appetite of all the Aamir Khan fans. Talaash may going to surpass many records till noted.

Written By Unknown on Friday, November 23, 2012 | 6:20:00 PM

DAMARUKAM Review:

Damarukam starring King Nagarjuna and Anushka released today with super stunning hype  after lots of ups and downs in the release dates due to financial troubles . Premier reports for the movie are just outstanding with Super positive talk from everywhere. Let us check whether it is true or not ,

STORY:

Damarukam titles starts off with explanation about formation of universe  and the wars paved between demons and lords ,in those wars all the demons were  vanished  except  Andhakaasura ( Ravi Shankar) and his follower Maayi (Jeeva)  . Andhakaasura ( Ravi Shankar) will wait for the period to fade out all the lords by  getting the control on Panch Boothalu . Andhakaasura wants to regain the glory of demons and he waits until pancha graha kutami . For regaining the glory of demons, Andhakaasura need to kill  after marrying Maheswari (Anushka) who  born on necessary occasion  to get the hold on Pancha Boothas and entire planetary system . On the flip side Mallikarjuna (Nagarjuna) who born with blessings of LordShiva lost his parents by Andhakaasura which originates antagonism on Shiva. Remaining story deals with what is the relation between Anushka & Nagarjuna, did Andhakaasura got his desire or not is the Rest of the story .

Analysis on movie:
Nagarjuna characterization seems to be like Ragada ,he walked through the character of Mallikarjuna with tremendous ease but no speciality about Nagarjuna based on his performance.Ravi Shankar who played the role of Andhakaasura scored full marks with his acting and intensity especially in some frames  Ravi Shankar done fantastic job with his Mind Boggling performance ,his body language makes the role perfectly apt to him. Graphical work is just top notch and highlight of the movie. BackGround Score and Songs are one of the assets of the movie offered by DSP. Cinematography by ChotaKNaidu is good. Performance wise there is no scope for Anushka but the entire story moves around her , in this film Anushka was looking gorgeous than her previous. Srinivas Reddy  direction was very weak , he failed in building the intensity for many beautiful scenes such as “Smasanam Scene” . Comedy is very weak except  a few scenes. PrakashRaaj  as Lord Shiva doesnot suits him well .Gautam Venkatraman performance and looks were good.

Verdict:
Films of this Genre needs a Better execution, don’t go with expectations based on the premier show reports. One time watchable flick. It  can be marked as Average spinner.

Written By Unknown on Friday, November 16, 2012 | 9:25:00 PM

TUPAAKI  PYRED  :

IlayaDalapathi VIJAY starring  Tupaaki  released this  Diwali  under  the  direction of Ace director A.R Murugadoss . A.R Murugadoss tasted the failure with 7th Sense . Vijay in poor  form and struggling at BoxOffice since ages recently 3 Idiots remake Nanban also back fired at BoxOffice .Lets  see was  they  set back with flick or not .

STORY :
VIJAY  seen as  Jagadeesh in Secret Military Agent  character .He came to his home town for holidays and dejected with Bus Bomb take placed  ahead in position to him . Later on  further information about these Bomb attacks and plans are secretly  captured  from  Bomber by abducting  him . Vijay fails all the desired operations  planned by terrorists  with twelve member  sequence . Succesive failure attempts made VIDYUT JAMWAL ( who is the head of sleeper cells )  to concentrate on Vijay and challenges  him . In response  to it  What happened between Vijay and Vidyut Jamwal , Is Vijay successful or not deals the remaining story .

VIJAY :     Vijay performance was the main asset of the film . Dances , Stunts  done by him were well executed  . Timing is good and Carried more Intensity in  the second half .

A.R MURUGADOSS :  Director came up with better script . Screenplay  implemented in Second Half  considered as Highlight . Gave the necessary  reasons for each and every  movement . Mind game maintained by him  makes the second half  that what will happen next ? . For this Stuff Murugadoss going to be accret with full marks .

KAJAL :  Kajal Agarwal Screen presence is  awesome . Kajal just provided the additional commercial elements like songs . Her performance is not good with ordinary expressions  and a little bit OverAction in many frames of the movie.

VIDYUT JAMWAL  who  reached  telugu  audience with Shakti  Oosaravelli , performed  Negative role in the movie . We should not discuss about the character more  as the  looks  and  attainment  can be comparable with these kind of roles in many movies .There is  no  special angle in it .

All the other cast   did justice their given characters with respective performances  . On the Flip side Comedy and Songs were  considered as Let downs for the movie . They done damage to Seriously going scenes  with  crap comedy  , Kajal scenes and songs . BGM given by Harris JayRaj is not up to the mark  , he didn’t show his best through the entire film . Vijay , Murugudoss will definetly  fetch a lot in future by this TUPAKI .

VERDICT :  VIJAY back on track with direct straight movie and he will set new records  at  the BoxOffice    Go and watch the flick ,it will surely entertain you .Congratulations to the Entire Team for this Success .
